Melinda Braun joined us in September as the College of Health Professions Development Officer. Melinda comes to us from the Alumni Association here at Texas State where she was the Associate Director of Alumni Relations for nine years. While there, Melinda’s focus was on development, marketing, event planning and project management. Prior to her work at Texas State, she was the Public Relations Coordinator at Central Texas Medical Center here in San Marcos for three years. She received her B.A. in journalism and public relations in 1992 and her M.S.I.S. in human performance technology in 2002; both from Texas State. Originally from San Marcos, Melinda is quite active in the community and throughout Texas State.

Academic advances over the past several years have placed Texas State University-San Marcos at the forefront of undergraduate education in the state of Texas.
