Todd Mackenzie has served since 2004 as a clinical assistant professor in the School of Health Administration at Texas State University. Since 2014, Mr. Mackenzie has served at the program coordinator for Long Term Care Administration Graduate Certificate program. Mr. Mackenzie is an a healthcare executive as well as educator, currently serving as the Executive Director and Austin Market Leader for Brookdale Senior Living, the nation's largest senior housing provider. Mr. Mackenzie also served 11 years’ experience at the helm of Deer Creek of Wimberley, where he built community support during his tenure there. In 2007 he joined Remington Medical Resorts and opened its inaugural facility in San Antonio March of 2009, later moving to Dallas as chief executive officer of the company. He was named Texas Health Care Association (THCA) Administrator of the Year in 2001 and American Health Care Association (AHCA) Future Leader of America in Long Term Care in 2007.
