The Memorial Health Care System is a nationally recognized healthcare system in Chattanooga, TN.  The System consistently ranks in the Thompson 100 Top Hospitals and is the leading provider of cancer care in the greater Chattanooga area.  The cancer program at Memorial spans the two hospital system, and provides a multidisciplinary, conprehensive approach to cancer care.  The Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons awarded a three year approval with commendation to the cancer program in 2005.

This executive level postion is responsible for leading, planning and expanding the cancer program with a focus on clinical quality, physician and patient education, and solidifying the program as the regional provider of choice.  Continued development of specialty programs in breast, colorectal, lung, prostrate and other cancer areas is important.  The Vice President will ensure efficient patient and physician access and scheduling, establish a coordinated multidisciplinary patient care process and maintain ACOS accreditation.  The Vice President will also work with medical staff in expansion of clinical trails, establishment of state-of-the-art treatment options and referral development.

An MHA or other related Master's degree is required along with a minimum of 5 years health care operational experience at a mid- to senior management level.  Prior cancer hospital or cancer program experience is highly preferred along with excellent business and program development expertise.  Candidates must possess strong leadership and communication capabilities, initiative with a drive to excel, and the ability to adeptly facilitate and work collaboratively with a variety of constituencies.  ID #30567

Practicer Manager

Hendrick Provider Network is currently experiencing some growth. We have signed 4 internal medicine physicians (goal of 6-8), an Endocrinologist and a Neurologist (goal of 2-3). The Endo, Neuro and 2 IMs are opening in September, one IM in January and the fourth IM next summer. We are aggressively recruiting others.

Scheduling Associate

Scheduling Associate - conducts all new patient and follow-up patient appointments, pre-authorizations, and questions related to the medical practice protocols for patients.

The Scheduling Associate will work closely with the Administrator and medical providers to ensure that all patients are scheduled according to a set standard of protocols.

• Ensure that all of the medical providers’ schedules are filled with patient appointments as efficiently as possible.
• Obtain medical records from referring and other physician offices for the patient.
• Explain the practice’s protocol for new patients/referrals.
• Obtain pre-authorization as necessary for all patient insurance plans.
• Create new patient charts within the practice’s Electronic Health Record.
• Assist other practice employees with all telephone inquiries.
• Cross-train with other administrative employees.
• Provide excellent and friendly customer service to both internal and external customers.
