PRWL: Picture It. Read It. Write It. Live It.
PRWL Literacy Program is 10-day intensive reading and writing program for struggling students that sets out to build students' confidence and tap into students' strengths to improve reading and writing. Participants should have a documented difficulty with reading and writing.
PRWL was designed using evidence-based approaches to address reading comprehension, reading fluency, and spelling. Comprehension activities focus on creating mental pictures while reading. Reading fluency and spelling activities utilize an Orton-Gillingham approach involving multi-sensory, hands-on learning opportunities to address decoding and phonological skills.
The PRWL program will be offered during the summer 2018 semester, specific dates will be announced during the spring of 2018.
