Texas State students interested in a career in Physical Therapy must first decide on a baccalaureate degree prior to pursuing a Doctor of Physical Therapy. When selecting your undergraduate degree, be sure to select one that you will be happy with in case you decide Physical Therapy is not right for you.
Pre-Physical Therapy students are encouraged to meet with an advisor in the College of Health Professions Advising Center once Physical Therapy is chosen as a possible career. The Health Professions advisors will be helpful in explaining the requirements for admission to the Physical Therapy program and the admission process. However, students will still be required to meet with the advisor for their undergraduate major in order to discuss semester scheduling, graduation requirements, and other issues related to the Bachelor's degree.
