Thomas L. Patterson, MS, BS, MT (ASCP), received his Bachelor of Science at Missouri Southern State College and his Master of Science at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.  His graduate work focused on the development of a vaccine for Chlamydia.  Mr. Patterson is an Associate Professor in the College of Health Professions , Clinical Laboratory Science Program at Texas State University. Mr. Patterson retired from the United States Air Force in 2000 where he served as a Clinical Laboratory Science Officer and an Instructor at the Military Physician Assistant Program at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas.  Upon retirement from the Air Force, Mr. Patterson worked at the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center as the Administrator for the Education and Training Department. 


Mr. Patterson very much enjoys working with his students and is deeply committed to their academic success.  He is also looking forward to beginning some research projects focused on the prevalence of methicillin resistant Staphlococcus Aureus in the environment.
