Updates on Class of 2020
In October, first year Texas State University DPT students helped the Texas Ramp Project construct an access ramp for a family in San Marcos. The ramp was 46 feet and took only 3 hours to complete. The purpose of the Texas Ramp Project is to help in "building freedom for the homebound" by constructing safe access ramps that meet ADA requirements for community members that do not have the funds to hire contractors. Texas State students plan to participate with the Texas Ramp Project in building other ramps in the future. Way to go Bobcats!
Group shot with Okere and Garza - Thank you, Lutty!
Texas State DPT students learned about negative pressure wound therapy this past week. Thanks to KCI and KCI representative, Kara Tuttle, for sharing her expertise with us. We also appreciate all our clinical partners that donated old supplies in support of student learning. It was a great lab for the students and we enjoyed a few slices of watermelon!
