Dr. Farzan Irani

Irani and student doing research

The Stuttering Research Lab at Texas State University is directed by Dr. Farzan Irani who is a Professor in the Department of Communication Disorders. The lab is involved in several projects designed to gain a better understanding of the nature and treatment of childhood-onset stuttering. In addition to the development and testing of the Comprehensive Stuttering Therapy Program and treatment outcomes research, we are also collaborating with colleagues across the nation to gain a better understanding of the development of fluency in bilingual children, stuttering variability, neural dynamics of stuttered speech, and training speech-language-pathology graduate students.
