Gerald D. Redwine, M.ED., MT(ASCP) is an assistant professor at Texas State University Clinical Laboratory Science program. He has over seventeen years of experience as a generalist in clinical laboratory sciences over a span of twenty-nine years. His first four years of experience were with the U.S. Air Force as a Medical Laboratory Technician beginning January 1980. He completed Texas State University (then Southwest Texas State) CLS program in 1995 and obtained his second bachelor’s degree.
After many years of training others he pursued his desire to teach and completed a Master of Education in Instructional Technology from Texas Tech University in 2008. He accepted his current position in the same program from which he graduated and has taught ‘Introduction to CLS’ and ‘Clinical Microscopy’ for the past year. His research interests are in the area of instructional technology, and seeks opportunities to enhance student education through the use of technology via face-to-face and hybrid courses.
