The BLAB Lab aims to make speech-language pathology services accessible by identifying and reducing barriers for those with limited access, locally and internationally. 

Community partners include Austin Smiles and Centro Moore.


 

Collaborators at Texas State University include faculty and students from the Ingram School of Engineering, Sociology, College of Education, Counseling, and Modern Langauges.


 

Current research involves the development of sustainable models for the provision of speech therapy to children born with cleft palate in their home country, the development of products with the autistic community for the autistic community, and assessment tools that can be used with children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
